서당의 순서를 그대로 따릅니다. 습자로 새 글자를 손으로 익히고, 강독으로 원문을 소리 내어 읽으며 뜻을 새기고, 배강으로 책을 덮고 외워 바칩니다. 배강을 통과해야 다음 과가 열립니다.

Three steps, as in a traditional village school: writing the new characters by hand, reading the annotated original aloud, then reciting it from memory. Passing the recitation unlocks the next lesson.

자물쇠는 두 종류입니다. 앞 과를 아직 마치지 않아 잠긴 것이라면 그 과를 먼저 떼면 열립니다. 6과 이후가 잠긴 것이라면 평생 이용권이 필요합니다.

Two kinds. If it is simply the next lesson in sequence, finish the one before it. If it is lesson 6 or later, it requires the lifetime unlock.

한 과가 원문의 한 대목이라 분량이 고르지 않습니다. 한 과 평균 열 자쯤이지만, 희화에게 역법을 맡기는 제3과에는 서른 자가 처음 나오고, 앞 과에서 이미 다 나온 글자로 이루어진 과는 한 자뿐입니다. 앞선 과에 나온 글자는 다시 세지 않으므로 뒤로 갈수록 가벼워집니다. 습자는 언제든 나갔다가 이어서 하실 수 있고, 익힌 글자는 그대로 남습니다.

Each lesson is one passage of the original, so the load varies — about ten new characters on average, but thirty in the calendar passage of lesson 3 and as few as one where everything has already appeared. You can leave the writing practice at any point and pick it up where you left off.

시작점을 짚어 주는 안내를 따라 천천히 그어 보세요. 세 번 이어서 어긋나면 힌트를 보여 준 뒤 자동으로 넘어가므로, 한 획에 막혀 진도가 멈추는 일은 없습니다.

Follow the starting-point guide and draw slowly. After three misses the app shows a hint and moves on, so you will never be stuck on one stroke.

학당 홈 오른쪽 위 톱니바퀴 → 설정에서 발음 속도를 세 단계로 조절하고, 성독 목소리를 여성과 남성 가운데 고릅니다.

Tap the gear icon at the top right of the main screen. Speed has three settings, and the recitation voice can be female or male.

서고의 성독 이어듣기는 화면을 꺼도 이어집니다. 잠금 화면에서 재생·정지·이전·다음을 조작할 수 있고, 배운 과만·명구만·갈무리한 구절만 골라 들으실 수도 있습니다. 강독 화면의 낭독 버튼은 학습용이라 화면이 꺼지면 멈춥니다.

The continuous recitation in the library keeps playing with the screen off, with lock-screen controls, and can be limited to lessons you have finished, to the famous passages, or to the ones you have saved. The read-aloud button inside a lesson is meant for study and stops when the screen turns off.

학당 탭 - 서고(書庫)입니다. 구절 검색(원문·현토·독음·해석·훈음으로 찾기), 내 서재(갈무리해 둔 구절), 족자(배운 구절을 세로쓰기로 엮어 이미지로 공유), 성독 이어듣기 네 가지가 있습니다.

In the school tab: passage search, your saved passages, a vertical scroll you can share as an image, and continuous recitation.

"오늘의 구절" 위젯은 앱이 남긴 구절을 읽어 보여 줍니다. 앱을 한 번 열어 주시면 채워지고, 위젯을 누르면 그 구절의 과로 바로 들어갑니다.

The Today's Passage widget shows a snapshot left by the app — open the app once and it fills in. Tapping it opens that passage's lesson.

같은 Apple 계정으로 로그인하고 iCloud가 켜져 있으면 진도·복습·즐겨찾기가 이어집니다. 글자별 통계와 일별 활동 기록은 기기에만 남으므로 옮겨지지 않습니다.

Yes — progress, reviews, and bookmarks sync through your own iCloud when signed in to the same Apple Account. Per-character statistics and daily activity stay on the device and do not transfer.

설정 → 학습 기록 초기화. 기기의 기록과 iCloud에 올려 둔 기록이 함께 지워집니다. 되돌릴 수 없습니다.

Settings → Reset study data. This clears both the device records and the iCloud copy, and cannot be undone.

아닙니다. 평생 이용권은 1회 결제이며 만료되지 않습니다. 정기 결제가 빠져나가지 않습니다.

No. The lifetime unlock is a one-time purchase that never expires. Nothing recurs.

Tap Restore Purchases on the unlock screen, or in Settings under Purchase. You must be signed in with the same Apple Account used for the purchase.

편은 빠짐이 없고, 편의 전문은 아닙니다. 오늘 전하는 서경은 쉰여덟 편이며 이 앱은 쉰여덟 편을 한 편도 빠뜨리지 않고 실었습니다. 다만 우공이나 홍범처럼 긴 편은 전문이 수천 자에 이르므로, 편마다 대표 대목을 골라 71과 149구절, 원문 2,695자로 엮었습니다. 우서 12과, 하서 4과, 상서 15과, 주서 40과이며, 홍범처럼 큰 편은 구주·황극·삼덕·서징·오복으로 나누어 여러 과에 두었습니다.

상·중·하로 나뉜 태갑·반경·열명·태서도 세 편에서 고루 뽑아, 통행본을 상·중·하까지 세는 기준으로도 쉰여덟 편이 모두 들어 있습니다.

Every chapter is here; not every word. The received text runs to fifty-eight chapters, and this app carries all fifty-eight — but the long ones run to thousands of characters, so each is represented by its central passages: 149 passages across 71 lessons, 2,695 characters (12 lessons of Yu, 4 of Xia, 15 of Shang, 40 of Zhou).

통행본 서경의 차례 그대로입니다. 요전(제1과)에서 시작해 우서를 지나(제1~12과), 하서 우공·감서·오자지가·윤정(제13~16과), 상서 탕서에서 미자까지(제17~31과)를 거쳐 주서 태서에서 진서(제32~71과)로 내려옵니다. 요·순의 조정에서 시작해 진나라 목공의 뉘우침으로 끝나는 이 차례 자체가 서경의 짜임입니다.

사서보다 천 년쯤 앞선 문장이기 때문입니다. 옛 관직과 제도와 지명이 풀이 없이 그대로 나오고(九州·五服·三宅·九德), 널리 알리는 글이라 같은 말을 되풀이해 다지며, 맹세와 훈계의 어조가 문장을 끌고 갑니다. 그래서 원문 2,695자 가운데 772자가 그 편에서 처음 나오는 글자입니다 — 세 글자에 하나꼴입니다. 한문은 명조체로 조판했고, 이 벽자들이 모두 나오도록 글꼴을 따로 추려 앱에 담았습니다.

Because the language is roughly a thousand years older than that of the Four Books: ancient offices, institutions and place names appear unglossed, and proclamation style repeats itself. This volume introduces 772 new characters — roughly one in every three characters of the text — and ships with a serif font subsetted to cover them.

두 가지 경우가 있습니다.

하나는 다음자(多音字)입니다. 辰은 대개 '진'이지만 日月星辰에서는 신이라 읽어 일월성신이고, 不은 뒤 글자에 따라 갈려 不自滿假를 부자만가라 하며, 則은 법이라는 뜻이면 '칙'이지만 丕則有愆에서는 어조사라 비즉유건입니다.

다른 하나는 그 편에서만 그렇게 읽는 자리입니다. 剛而塞의 塞은 '새'가 아니라 색(막히다·꽉 차다)이고, 惟家之索의 索은 '색'이 아니라 삭(다하다), 用會紹乃辟의 辟은 '피'가 아니라 벽(임금), 今日耽樂의 樂은 '악'이 아니라 락(즐기다)입니다. 구절의 독음은 그 자리의 읽기를 따르고, 사전은 대표음을 함께 보여 줍니다.

Two cases. Some characters simply have several readings; others are read one way only in this particular chapter. The passage reading follows the reading proper to that line, while the dictionary shows the standard one alongside it.

이 앱은 조선의 서당과 경연이 실제로 읽던 통행본 쉰여덟 편을 저본으로 삼았습니다. 그 가운데 서른세 편은 한나라 때부터 전해진 금문(今文)이고, 스물다섯 편은 뒷날 나온 고문(古文)이며, 이 스물다섯 편에 대해서는 후대의 위작이라는 논의가 오래 이어져 왔습니다. 십육자 심법이 나오는 대우모도 여기에 듭니다. 1.0.0은 이 논쟁을 따로 다루지 않고 읽히던 그대로를 싣는 쪽을 택했습니다. 금문·고문의 사정을 정리해 붙이는 것은 판올림 과제로 두었습니다.

The app takes as its source the received fifty-eight chapters as they were actually read in Korean schools. Thirty-three are "new text" chapters transmitted from the Han; twenty-five are "old text" chapters whose authenticity has long been debated — including the Counsels of Great Yu, source of the sixteen-character mind method. Version 1.0.0 presents the text as it was read rather than adjudicating the question; a note on the textual history is planned for a later update.

1.0.0에는 없습니다. 구절마다 새김으로 누가 누구에게 한 말인지, 어떤 자리에서 나온 말인지, 오늘 어떤 뜻으로 쓰이는지를 적어 두었습니다. 채침 『서집전(書集傳)』의 주를 구절별로 붙이는 것은 판올림 과제로 두었습니다.

Not in 1.0.0. Each passage carries a note on who said it, on what occasion, and how it reads today; a passage-by-passage rendering of Cai Shen's commentary is planned for a later update.
