서당의 순서를 그대로 따릅니다. 습자로 새 글자를 손으로 익히고, 강독으로 원문을 소리 내어 읽으며 뜻을 새기고, 배강으로 책을 덮고 외워 바칩니다. 배강을 통과해야 다음 과가 열립니다.

Three steps, as in a traditional village school: writing the new characters by hand, reading the annotated original aloud, then reciting it from memory. Passing the recitation unlocks the next lesson.

The continuous recitation in the library keeps playing with the screen off, with lock-screen controls. The read-aloud button inside a lesson is meant for study and stops when the screen turns off.

같은 Apple 계정으로 로그인하고 iCloud가 켜져 있으면 진도·복습·즐겨찾기가 이어집니다. 글자별 통계와 일별 활동 기록은 기기에만 남으므로 옮겨지지 않습니다.

Yes — progress, reviews, and bookmarks sync through your own iCloud when signed in to the same Apple Account. Per-character statistics and daily activity stay on the device and do not transfer.

설정 → 학습 기록 초기화. 기기의 기록과 iCloud에 올려 둔 기록이 함께 지워집니다. 되돌릴 수 없습니다.

Settings → Reset study data. This clears both the device records and the iCloud copy, and cannot be undone.

The lifetime unlock removes all ads. The free version shows a single banner at the bottom of the Hakdang and Dictionary screens — never over or inside a lesson. There are no interstitial or video ads at all. Once purchased, the ad component is never even started.

Tonggam Jeoryo runs to 50 volumes; this app takes the passages that became well-known idioms and presents them as 109 lessons, 122 passages (2,652 characters of original text, 901 new characters). It opens with two of the historian's own verdicts, then works forward from the Warring States to the Five Dynasties. All 122 passages carry reading marks, pronunciation, translation, commentary, a word-by-word gloss, and a paired source text.

Each passage is paired with the fuller original it was cut from — the song Xiang Yu sang that night, or the memorial in which Zhuge Liang demoted himself three ranks after executing the officer he loved. Sources: 12 from the Shiji, 5 from the Records of the Three Kingdoms, 3 from the Book of Later Han, 3 from the Zhenguan Zhengyao, 2 from the Analects, 2 from the Zizhi Tongjian, and one each from the Book of Jin, History of the Southern Dynasties, and Old Book of Tang.

The app presents the original unedited and uses the commentary and paired source texts to show where each event stood and what it led to — read as a mirror, not a model.
