서당의 순서를 그대로 따릅니다. 습자로 새 글자를 손으로 익히고, 강독으로 원문을 소리 내어 읽으며 뜻을 새기고, 배강으로 책을 덮고 외워 바칩니다. 배강을 통과해야 다음 과가 열립니다.

Three steps, as in a traditional village school: writing the new characters by hand, reading the annotated original aloud, then reciting it from memory. Passing the recitation unlocks the next lesson.

자물쇠는 두 종류입니다. 앞 과를 아직 마치지 않아 잠긴 것이라면 그 과를 먼저 떼면 열립니다. 6과 이후가 잠긴 것이라면 평생 이용권이 필요합니다.

Two kinds. If it is simply the next lesson in sequence, finish the one before it. If it is lesson 6 or later, it requires the lifetime unlock.

맞습니다. 새 글자는 주역 안에서 처음 나오는 글자만 셉니다. 가인괘(제43과)와 설괘전(제85과)은 쓰인 글자가 모두 앞선 과에서 이미 나왔기 때문에 새 글자가 없습니다. 이때 습자는 그 구절에 쓰인 글자를 복습으로 보여 줍니다. 건너뛰셔도 되고, 손에 익히실 겸 한 번 더 쓰셔도 됩니다.

Correct — a character counts as new only the first time it appears anywhere in the Changes. Lesson 43 (Jiaren) and lesson 85 (Shuogua) use nothing that has not already appeared, so the writing step shows those characters as review instead.

한 과가 원문의 한 대목이라 분량이 고르지 않습니다. 앞선 과에서 이미 나온 글자는 다시 세지 않으므로, 뒤로 갈수록 새 글자가 줄어드는 과가 많습니다. 습자는 언제든 나갔다가 이어서 하실 수 있고, 익힌 글자는 그대로 남습니다.

Each lesson is one passage of the original, so the load varies. Characters already met in an earlier lesson are not counted again, so later lessons are often lighter. You can leave the writing practice at any point and pick it up where you left off.

시작점을 짚어 주는 안내를 따라 천천히 그어 보세요. 세 번 이어서 어긋나면 힌트를 보여 준 뒤 자동으로 넘어가므로, 한 획에 막혀 진도가 멈추는 일은 없습니다.

Follow the starting-point guide and draw slowly. After three misses the app shows a hint and moves on, so you will never be stuck on one stroke.

학당 홈 오른쪽 위 톱니바퀴 → 설정에서 발음 속도를 세 단계로 조절하고, 성독 목소리를 여성과 남성 가운데 고릅니다.

Tap the gear icon at the top right of the main screen. Speed has three settings, and the recitation voice can be female or male.

서고의 성독 이어듣기는 화면을 꺼도 이어집니다. 잠금 화면에서 재생·정지·이전·다음을 조작할 수 있고, 배운 과만·명구만·갈무리한 구절만 골라 들으실 수도 있습니다. 강독 화면의 낭독 버튼은 학습용이라 화면이 꺼지면 멈춥니다.

The continuous recitation in the library keeps playing with the screen off, with lock-screen controls, and can be limited to lessons you have finished, to the famous passages, or to the ones you have saved. The read-aloud button inside a lesson is meant for study and stops when the screen turns off.

"오늘의 구절" 위젯은 앱이 남긴 구절을 읽어 보여 줍니다. 앱을 한 번 열어 주시면 채워지고, 위젯을 누르면 그 구절의 과로 바로 들어갑니다.

The Today's Passage widget shows a snapshot left by the app — open the app once and it fills in. Tapping it opens that passage's lesson.

같은 Apple 계정으로 로그인하고 iCloud가 켜져 있으면 진도·복습·즐겨찾기가 이어집니다. 글자별 통계와 일별 활동 기록은 기기에만 남으므로 옮겨지지 않습니다.

Yes — progress, reviews, and bookmarks sync through your own iCloud when signed in to the same Apple Account. Per-character statistics and daily activity stay on the device and do not transfer.

설정 → 학습 기록 초기화. 기기의 기록과 iCloud에 올려 둔 기록이 함께 지워집니다. 되돌릴 수 없습니다.

Settings → Reset study data. This clears both the device records and the iCloud copy, and cannot be undone.

아닙니다. 평생 이용권은 1회 결제이며 만료되지 않습니다. 정기 결제가 빠져나가지 않습니다.

No. The lifetime unlock is a one-time purchase that never expires. Nothing recurs.

전문은 아닙니다. 주역은 괘사·효사만도 사천 자를 넘고 십익까지 더하면 훨씬 길어집니다. 그래서 예순네 괘를 하나도 건너뛰지 않되 괘마다 그 괘를 대표하는 대목 — 괘사·효사·대상전 — 을 골라 85과 101구절, 원문 1,259자로 엮었습니다. 건괘는 원형이정부터 항룡유회까지와 문언전을 따로 다루고, 계사전은 열네 과, 설괘전은 한 과를 두었습니다. "군자는 이를 본받아"로 이어지는 대상전 구절만 마흔 구입니다.

Not the complete text — the judgements and line statements alone run past four thousand characters, and the Ten Wings are longer still. Instead, no hexagram is skipped: each is represented by its decisive lines — the judgement, a line statement, or the Great Image — giving 101 passages across 85 lessons, 1,259 characters, with fourteen lessons from the Great Treatise and one from the Shuogua.

주희(朱熹)가 『주역본의(周易本義)』에서 그 구절에 붙인 주(注)입니다. 주역은 원문이 짧고 상징이 겹겹이라 주 없이 읽기 어려운 책이라, 구절마다 주를 원문과 번역으로 함께 실었습니다. 이를테면 자강불식에 붙은 주는 건괘의 굳셈을 하늘이 겹쳤다는 데서 읽지 않고 하루에 한 바퀴씩 쉬지 않고 도는 운행에서 읽습니다. 원문은 옛 판본을 따랐고 표점과 번역은 이 앱이 붙였습니다. 본의가 주를 달지 않은 구절에는 이 토글이 뜨지 않습니다.

It is Zhu Xi's note on that passage from the Zhouyi Benyi, shown in the original and in translation. Where Zhu Xi left no note, the toggle does not appear. The punctuation and translation are ours.

계사전과 문언전은 앞서 나온 괘사·효사를 끌어와 풀이합니다. 그렇게 인용된 효사를 그 자리에 함께 실은 것이 전고입니다. 이를테면 안불망위(제84과)가 딛고 선 효사는 비괘 구오인데, 그 구절이 바로 제18과 계우포상입니다. 서고의 전고 모아보기에서 한자리에 모아 볼 수도 있습니다.

The Great Treatise and the Wenyan quote earlier lines and expound them. The quoted line is shown alongside, and the library gathers them in one place.

그런 기능은 없습니다. 이 앱은 주역을 읽고 외우는 앱입니다. 산가지도 동전도, 오늘의 운세도 없습니다. 원문의 길(吉)·흉(凶)·회(悔)·린(吝)은 본래 점의 판정어라 그대로 옮기되, 새김에서는 그것이 어떤 처지와 태도를 가리키는 말인지로 풀었습니다.

No. This app is for reading and memorizing the text — there is no casting, no coins, no daily fortune. Words like auspicious and ominous are kept as the original has them, but the commentary reads them as descriptions of a situation, not as predictions.

통행본의 괘 차례 그대로입니다. 건·곤에서 시작해 상경 서른 괘(제1~36과), 하경 서른네 괘(제37~70과)를 지나 계사전 상·하(제71~84과)와 설괘전(제85과)으로 맺습니다. 미제(未濟)가 마지막 괘라는 것 — 다 건너지 못한 채로 끝난다는 것 — 도 주역이 하려는 말의 하나입니다.

The received order: Qian and Kun, the thirty hexagrams of the Upper Canon (lessons 1–36), the thirty-four of the Lower Canon (lessons 37–70), then the Great Treatise (71–84) and the Shuogua (85). That the last hexagram is "Not Yet Across" is itself part of what the book has to say.

한 글자가 자리에 따라 다르게 읽히는 다음자(多音字)입니다. 주역에는 특히 이런 자리가 잦습니다. 見은 대개 '견'이지만 나타난다는 뜻일 때 '현'으로 읽어 見龍在田을 현룡재전이라 하고, 麗는 대개 '려'이지만 붙어 잇닿는다는 뜻일 때 '리'로 읽어 麗澤을 이택이라 하며, 假는 '가'이지만 이른다는 뜻일 때 '격'으로 읽어 王假有廟를 왕격유묘라 합니다. 易 또한 쉽다는 뜻이면 '이', 바뀐다는 뜻이면 '역'입니다. 구절의 독음은 그 자리의 읽기를 따르고, 사전은 대표음을 보여 줍니다.

Some characters are read differently depending on context, and the Changes is full of such places. The passage reading follows the reading proper to that line, while the dictionary shows the standard one.
