서당의 순서를 그대로 따릅니다. 습자로 새 글자를 손으로 익히고, 강독으로 원문을 소리 내어 읽으며 뜻을 새기고, 배강으로 책을 덮고 외워 바칩니다. 배강을 통과해야 다음 과가 열립니다.

Three steps, as in a traditional village school: writing the new characters by hand, reading the annotated original aloud, then reciting it from memory. Passing the recitation unlocks the next lesson.

자물쇠는 두 종류입니다. 앞 과를 아직 마치지 않아 잠긴 것이라면 그 과를 먼저 떼면 열립니다. 5과 이후가 잠긴 것이라면 평생 이용권이 필요합니다.

Two kinds. If it is simply the next lesson in sequence, finish the one before it. If it is lesson 5 or later, it requires the lifetime unlock.

사략은 한 과가 하나의 고사(故事)라 과마다 분량이 고르지 않습니다. 여섯 자인 과도 있고 스무 자인 과도 있습니다. 습자는 언제든 나갔다가 이어서 하실 수 있고, 익힌 글자는 그대로 남습니다.

Each lesson is one complete story, so the load varies — some have six new characters, some twenty. You can leave the writing practice at any point and pick it up where you left off.

시작점을 짚어 주는 안내를 따라 천천히 그어 보세요. 세 번 이어서 어긋나면 힌트를 보여 준 뒤 자동으로 넘어가므로, 한 획에 막혀 진도가 멈추는 일은 없습니다.

Follow the starting-point guide and draw slowly. After three misses the app shows a hint and moves on, so you will never be stuck on one stroke.

학당 홈 오른쪽 위 톱니바퀴 → 설정에서 발음 속도를 세 단계로 조절하고, 성독 목소리를 여성과 남성 가운데 고릅니다.

Tap the gear icon at the top right of the main screen. Speed has three settings, and the recitation voice can be female or male.

서고의 성독 이어듣기는 화면을 꺼도 이어집니다. 잠금 화면에서 재생·정지·이전·다음을 조작할 수 있습니다. 강독 화면의 낭독 버튼은 학습용이라 화면이 꺼지면 멈춥니다.

The continuous recitation in the library keeps playing with the screen off, with lock-screen controls. The read-aloud button inside a lesson is meant for study and stops when the screen turns off.

같은 Apple 계정으로 로그인하고 iCloud가 켜져 있으면 진도·복습·즐겨찾기가 이어집니다. 글자별 통계와 일별 활동 기록은 기기에만 남으므로 옮겨지지 않습니다.

Yes — progress, reviews, and bookmarks sync through your own iCloud when signed in to the same Apple Account. Per-character statistics and daily activity stay on the device and do not transfer.

설정 → 학습 기록 초기화. 기기의 기록과 iCloud에 올려 둔 기록이 함께 지워집니다. 되돌릴 수 없습니다.

Settings → Reset study data. This clears both the device records and the iCloud copy, and cannot be undone.

전문은 아닙니다. 십팔사략은 열여덟 사서를 간추린 것이라도 여전히 방대합니다. 그래서 서당에서 특히 많이 읽히고 오늘의 말에도 남은 대목, 곧 고사성어의 출전이 되는 구절부터 골라 16과 17구절로 엮었습니다. 이번 분량은 태고의 천황씨에서 진(秦)의 분서갱유까지이며, 한(漢)과 삼국 이후는 앞으로 채워 갈 계획입니다.

Not the complete text. Even as a digest, the Shiba Shilüe is vast. This app selects the passages most read in Korean village schools and still alive in everyday speech — the sources of the four-character idioms — as 17 passages across 16 lessons, from antiquity through the Qin. The Han and after are planned.

사략은 왕조의 흥망으로 다스림의 이치를 가르치던 역사서입니다. 걸(桀)의 주지육림이나 시황제의 분서갱유처럼 폭정을 경계로 삼아 실은 대목이 있습니다. 원문과 그 번역뿐이며 자극적인 묘사나 삽화는 없고, 새김에 그 일이 어떤 결과로 이어졌는지를 함께 적어 두었습니다.

Saryak is a history that teaches by showing how dynasties fall, so tyranny appears in it — as a warning. The app carries the original and its translation only, with no lurid detail or illustration, and the commentary follows each story through to its consequence.

The old historian's framework — heaven's mandate passing from one house to the next — is left in place, with the commentary noting which age's view it was.
