서당의 순서를 그대로 따릅니다. 습자로 새 글자를 손으로 익히고, 강독으로 원문을 소리 내어 읽으며 뜻을 새기고, 배강으로 책을 덮고 외워 바칩니다. 배강을 통과해야 다음 과가 열립니다.

Three steps, as in a traditional village school: writing the new characters by hand, reading the annotated original aloud, then reciting it from memory. Passing the recitation unlocks the next lesson.

자물쇠는 두 종류입니다. 앞 과를 아직 마치지 않아 잠긴 것이라면 그 과를 먼저 떼면 열립니다. 6과 이후가 잠긴 것이라면 평생 이용권이 필요합니다.

Two kinds. If it is simply the next lesson in sequence, finish the one before it. If it is lesson 6 or later, it requires the lifetime unlock.

맞습니다. 새 글자는 시경 안에서 처음 나오는 글자만 셉니다. 제94과 형작(泂酌)과 제102과 유천지명(維天之命)이 그렇습니다 — 쓰인 글자가 모두 앞선 과에서 이미 나왔기 때문입니다. 이때 습자는 그 구절에 쓰인 글자를 복습으로 보여 줍니다. 건너뛰셔도 되고, 손에 익히실 겸 한 번 더 쓰셔도 됩니다.

Correct — a character counts as new only the first time it appears anywhere in the text. Lessons 94 and 102 use nothing that has not already appeared, so the writing step shows those characters as review instead.

한 과가 원문의 한 대목이라 분량이 고르지 않습니다. 특히 시경은 앞쪽 국풍에 새 글자가 몰립니다 — 관저 한 과에만 서른아홉 자가 처음 나옵니다. 앞선 과에서 이미 나온 글자는 다시 세지 않으므로 뒤로 갈수록 가벼워집니다. 습자는 언제든 나갔다가 이어서 하실 수 있고, 익힌 글자는 그대로 남습니다.

Each lesson is one passage of the original, so the load varies — and in the Songs the new characters cluster near the front: the opening poem alone introduces thirty-nine. Later lessons are much lighter. You can leave the writing practice at any point and pick it up where you left off.

시작점을 짚어 주는 안내를 따라 천천히 그어 보세요. 세 번 이어서 어긋나면 힌트를 보여 준 뒤 자동으로 넘어가므로, 한 획에 막혀 진도가 멈추는 일은 없습니다.

Follow the starting-point guide and draw slowly. After three misses the app shows a hint and moves on, so you will never be stuck on one stroke.

학당 홈 오른쪽 위 톱니바퀴 → 설정에서 발음 속도를 세 단계로 조절하고, 성독 목소리를 여성과 남성 가운데 고릅니다.

Tap the gear icon at the top right of the main screen. Speed has three settings, and the recitation voice can be female or male.

서고의 성독 이어듣기는 화면을 꺼도 이어집니다. 잠금 화면에서 재생·정지·이전·다음을 조작할 수 있고, 배운 과만·명구만·갈무리한 구절만 골라 들으실 수도 있습니다. 강독 화면의 낭독 버튼은 학습용이라 화면이 꺼지면 멈춥니다.

The continuous recitation in the library keeps playing with the screen off, with lock-screen controls, and can be limited to lessons you have finished, to the famous passages, or to the ones you have saved. The read-aloud button inside a lesson is meant for study and stops when the screen turns off.

In the school tab: passage search, your saved passages, a vertical scroll you can share as an image, and continuous recitation.

"오늘의 구절" 위젯은 앱이 남긴 구절을 읽어 보여 줍니다. 앱을 한 번 열어 주시면 채워지고, 위젯을 누르면 그 구절의 과로 바로 들어갑니다.

The Today's Passage widget shows a snapshot left by the app — open the app once and it fills in. Tapping it opens that passage's lesson.

같은 Apple 계정으로 로그인하고 iCloud가 켜져 있으면 진도·복습·즐겨찾기가 이어집니다. 글자별 통계와 일별 활동 기록은 기기에만 남으므로 옮겨지지 않습니다.

Yes — progress, reviews, and bookmarks sync through your own iCloud when signed in to the same Apple Account. Per-character statistics and daily activity stay on the device and do not transfer.

설정 → 학습 기록 초기화. 기기의 기록과 iCloud에 올려 둔 기록이 함께 지워집니다. 되돌릴 수 없습니다.

Settings → Reset study data. This clears both the device records and the iCloud copy, and cannot be undone.

No. The lifetime unlock is a one-time purchase that never expires. Nothing recurs.

전문은 아닙니다. 시경은 305편이고 이 앱은 그 가운데 116편을 실었습니다. 그래서 국풍·소아·대아·송 네 부를 하나도 빠뜨리지 않되 부마다 대표 편을 골라 116과 164구절, 원문 2,312자로 엮었습니다. 국풍 59과(열다섯 나라 전부), 소아 27과, 대아 14과, 송 16과입니다. 관저처럼 여러 장을 함께 읽는 편은 한 과 안에 서너 구절을 두었습니다.

Not the complete text — the anthology runs to 305 poems; this app carries 116 of them. Instead, no section is skipped: each is represented by its best-known poems, giving 101 passages across 116 lessons, 2,312 characters — 59 lessons of Airs (all fifteen states), 27 of Lesser Odes, 14 of Greater Odes, 16 of Hymns.

오늘 전하는 『모시(毛詩)』의 차례 그대로입니다. 주남 관저(제1과)에서 시작해 국풍 열다섯 나라를 지나 빈풍 벌가(제59과)에서 국풍을 맺고, 소아(제60~86과)·대아(제87~100과)를 거쳐 주송·노송·상송(제101~116과)으로 올라가 상송 현조(제116과)에서 맺습니다. 논밭의 노래에서 시작해 종묘의 노래로 끝나는 이 차례 자체가 시경의 짜임입니다.

The received Mao arrangement: from the opening poem of the Airs (lesson 1) through fourteen states, then the Lesser Odes (60-86), the Greater Odes (87-100), and the Hymns of Zhou, Lu and Shang (101-116). The order itself — from the fields up to the ancestral temple — is part of what the anthology is.

시경은 논(論)이 아니라 노래이기 때문입니다. 새와 풀과 벌레와 물고기의 이름이 그대로 나오고(雎鳩 물수리, 荇菜 마름, 蟋蟀 귀뚜라미, 蒹葭 갈대), 꾸룩꾸룩(關關)·들쭉날쭉(參差)·이리 뒤척 저리 뒤척(輾轉)처럼 소리를 흉내 낸 글자가 줄줄이 나옵니다. 그래서 이 앱의 신출자가 814자로 형제 앱 가운데 가장 많습니다. 한문은 명조체로 조판했고, 이 벽자들이 모두 나오도록 글꼴을 따로 추려 앱에 담았습니다.

Because the Songs are sung, not argued. They name birds, plants, insects and reeds directly, and they are full of sound-words. This volume therefore introduces 814 new characters — more than any of its sibling apps — and ships with a serif font subsetted to cover every one of them.

두 가지 경우가 있습니다.

하나는 다음자(多音字)입니다. 十은 대개 '십'이지만 十月은 활음조로 시월이라 읽고, 不은 뒤 글자에 따라 '불'과 '부'로 갈려 求之不得을 구지부득이라 하며, 則은 법이라는 뜻이면 '칙'이지만 匪鷄則鳴에서는 어조사라 비계즉명입니다.

다른 하나는 그 편에서만 그렇게 읽는 자리입니다. 시경에 유난히 많습니다. 害澣의 害는 '해'가 아니라 할(어찌)이고, 施于中谷의 施는 '시'가 아니라 이(뻗다), 淇奧의 奧는 '오'가 아니라 욱(물굽이), 於穆不已의 於는 '어'가 아니라 오(감탄), 不敢馮河의 馮은 '풍'이 아니라 빙(걸어서 건너다)입니다. 구절의 독음은 그 자리의 읽기를 따르고, 사전은 대표음을 함께 보여 줍니다.

Two cases. Some characters simply have several readings; others are read one way only in this particular poem — the Songs have an unusual number of these. The passage reading follows the reading proper to that line, while the dictionary shows the standard one alongside it.

1.0.0에는 없습니다. 구절마다 새김으로 그 노래가 어느 편 몇 장인지, 무엇을 빗대어 부른 것인지, 오늘 어떤 뜻으로 쓰이는지를 적어 두었습니다. 주희 『시집전(詩集傳)』의 주를 구절별로 붙이는 것은 판올림 과제로 두었습니다.

Not in 1.0.0. Each passage carries a note placing it in its poem and explaining the image; a passage-by-passage rendering of Zhu Xi's commentary is planned for a later update.
