This Privacy Policy describes how Hangul ("we", "our", or "the App") handles your information. We are committed to protecting your privacy.

1. Information We Collect

We do not collect any personal information. The App does not require account creation, login, or any form of registration.

• Learning Data: All your study progress, flashcard data, quiz scores, and settings are stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. This data never leaves your device and is not accessible to us.
• Microphone Data: The App uses microphone access solely for pronunciation practice. Audio is processed on-device using Apple's Speech framework and is never recorded, stored, or transmitted to any server.
• Speech Recognition: Korean speech recognition is performed on-device via Apple's SFSpeechRecognizer. No audio or transcription data is sent to our servers.

2. Third-Party Services

The App uses the following third-party services:

• Google AdMob: We display advertisements to free-tier users. Google AdMob may collect device identifiers and usage data for ad personalization and measurement. You can opt out of personalized ads through the App Tracking Transparency prompt shown on first launch. For more information, see Google's Privacy Policy.
• Apple StoreKit: In-app subscriptions (Monthly, Yearly, Lifetime Premium) are processed through Apple's App Store. Payment information is handled entirely by Apple. We do not have access to your payment details, credit card information, or Apple ID.

3. App Tracking Transparency

The App requests your permission via Apple's App Tracking Transparency (ATT) framework before allowing any tracking for advertising purposes. You may deny this request at any time, and the App will continue to function normally with non-personalized ads. You can change this setting later in iPhone Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking.

4. Data Storage

All learning data is stored locally on your device using SwiftData:

• Study progress and completion status
• Flashcard review intervals and scores
• Quiz results and accuracy statistics
• Learning event history for personalized recommendations
• App settings and preferences

No data is transmitted to external servers. We do not operate any backend servers for this App.

5. Children's Privacy

The App does not knowingly collect any personal information from children under 13 (or equivalent minimum age in relevant jurisdictions). The App is designed as an educational tool suitable for all ages and does not contain inappropriate content.

6. Data Retention and Deletion

Since all learning data is stored locally on your device, you have full control over it:

• Deleting the App will permanently remove all associated data.
• No data backups are maintained on our servers.
• iCloud backup of app data depends on your device's iCloud settings.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated revision date. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
